The mission

As our Design Team Lead:

  • Work with our team of UX researchers and UX/UI designers on various digital products and services
  • Organize, facilitate design team-related meetings (regular meetings, design critique, team building events, 1-on-1’s)
  • Establish and manage the learning path of the design team, both at team level and individual level: facilitate goal setting, plan creation, monitor progress
  • Set up and continuously improve our standards and processes in design tool usage, team operation, and the creative work
  • Provide mentorship to design team members in your areas of profession
  • Manage team health: understand team members’ motivations, maintain trust, respect, and team spirit in the team, encourage feedback giving
  • Represent the design team toward other teams at Digital Natives: help resource planning, strategy building, work with other team leads to improve our cross-team processes
  • Match design team capabilities with upcoming project needs, identify skill gaps, assist in hiring and onboarding the right people

As a member of our design team:

  • Participate in the UX research work (to the extent of your professional focus)
  • Create user personas, goals and journeys, based on the research and interviews provided by UX researchers (to the extent of your professional focus)
  • Craft wireframes and UI designs covering the flows agreed upon, present it to clients and discuss necessary iterations (to the extent of your professional focus)
  • Assist in harmonizing clients’ business goals with the users’ needs
  • Participate in various in-house projects, goals of which are to improve our team, workplace, and communication
  • Assist in creating project proposals, represent the design team at client meetings

WHAT MAKES YOU A GOOD CANDIDATE?

If you have:

  • Experience in managing design teams
  • Solid understanding of the entire design process in an agile development project, and the Design Thinking methodology
  • Knowledge about how a design team works, how it is effective and motivated
  • Strong experience in an area of UX (UX research, strategy, UX or UI design) that you can demonstrate with a portfolio
  • Good understanding of the UX areas that are not your professional focus
  • Performed UX research before
  • Experience in holding workshops to clients
  • Mastered at least one UX/UI tool, such as Axure, Adobe XD, Sketch, Marvel, UXPin, InVision, Figma, ...
  • Fluent English communication skills (written & spoken)

HOW CAN YOU STAND OUT?

It’s a plus if you have:

  • Agency background
  • Prior knowledge in coding, software design
  • Understanding of modern web/mobile technology stack: mobile ecosystem, basic hosting environments, backend - frontend trends (single-page apps, APIs, frameworks, etc.)
  • Worked with startups
